While a little campy, Batman 1989 is my favorite. And jack nicholson as joker was what i feel a true representstion of the joker and it gave us some history as well on his origin and the history between batman and himself,
ReplyDeleteThat is a good choice and definitely underrated these days! I suppose a lot of younger people have never even seen that movie (makes me feel old lol). People forget it was Tim Burton who made Batman dark again to the mainstream and designed the costume that has been the model for all Batman costumes since. Taking Batman from what he was in our culture to what he became in that movie was genius in my opinion.
DeleteAnd very true on the Joker, I am not sure if he even had an origin before that movie came out, at least he didn't have one anyone in mainstream culture knew. I like both versions of the Joker that has been done in the movies, they are very different but both good in their own way. Both actors made the part theirs and stole the show.
