This is some interesting news. I had just assumed it took place many years ago. More importantly than when it takes place, I just want it to be good. About half of the X-Men movies have been next to unwatchable, it would be nice to see a good one.

The ideas of immortality reign very heavily in this story and the burden of immortality weighs heavily on Logan. For me that’s such an interesting part of Logan’s character that is nearly impossible to explore if you have a kind of league or team movie.” – director James Mangold
